Winery reviewA slightly herbal, minty character gives personality to this full-bodied, generous and richly textured wine. It is attractively dry, nicely tannic, layered with black cherry, wild berry and rosemary notes. Great to drink now through 2020 with rich meats or mushrooms. — J.G. Published 8/1/2016

My review: Dark berry flavors, it is what i would imagine currant to taste like.  Thick body with intense tannic taste.  I tried this wine twice, once with food and once without.  It was much better without food, although I still did not like it. I felt the tannic structure of the wine was too overwhelming and it was not well balanced.  I bought the bottle as a splitz, hoping to utilize the bottle again.  Screw cap.
